Moving to Australia was a massive change and having Rugby abroad was a lifesaver. They helped me find a great club which have been like family to me. Getting a visa can be a hassle, but I was advised on the steps that I needed to take in order to get the right visa so I was able to work whilst playing. My job was taken care of as well, they were able to find me employment as well as accommodation for when I arrived so I didn’t have to worry about sorting it out when I got there. So I could get straight into settling into my new life. Rugby Abroad were able to find a club that matched my needs as a player. They were also able to put me in contact with the club so I was able to speak directly to them, meaning the transition was even smoother.

Since I was young rugby has been a huge part of my life. As I’ve grown older, I have learnt just how much rugby has to offer.
In 2019 I was given the opportunity to play rugby in Toronto. I never imagined an experience like this would be possible and the trip was even better than expected. By being given this opportunity, I was able to experience a completely different part of the world I had never been too. This was made possible by the connections the club had; especially when trying to find work. What was slightly more challenging was tasks like finding a club in the first place, finding accommodation, visas, flights and the support network to put this all in place.

I have created Rugby Abroad Ltd because I believe these opportunities should be available to everyone, so others can experience different cultures and see the world while working and living a different lifestyle.
Rugby Abroad aims to make the transition of playing a season abroad as easy and as stress free as possible. I've learnt from experience and know how lonely and stressful it can be playing abroad, and this service hopes to limit this as much as possible.
